I love the name of Sonya Louise Barham's Kickstarter project, "A Search for Heartbreaking Beauty." It reminds of simpler times, where things were somehow more complicated than they are now.

On March 5 she is hosting a reception for her project in LA, where you can enjoy a glass of wine and consider purchasing a photograph to aid the young photographer in her quest.

At the last American Apothecary party the crowd was a little odd (for starters, I saw this little white haired man I see at almost every event I go to - anyone know his name), but these two model boys (cute, gay, makeup) and event details ("snow" everywhere, including fake $100 dollar bills to snort it up, a necklace gift for coming) made the event as a whole pretty lovely and amazing.

Due to a very curious class action lawsuit that claims "where's the beef?" in Taco Bell meat, Taco Bell is giving a free crunchy taco to all their Facebook fans.

After 10 million downloads, the offer will cease to exist. I printed mine and it expires February 16 - your date might be different, however.

Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises and the Coney Island Polar Bear Club are teaming up at the end of February for the third annual "Naked" Polar Bear Cruise.

You may know Circle Line for their fun cruises that tourists (and yours truly) love to take advantage of, and you may know the Polar Bear Club as a group of brave souls who strip down to their skivvies and run into the cold ocean at Coney Island. Why are the two joining forces? For a good cause, namely the Wildlife Conservation Society.

The Wildlife Conservation Society oversees the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium. All of this year's proceeds will benefit them and unlike the annual Polar Bear Plunge, you needn't jump into the ice cold water. Those who would like to participate will get "naked" (swimsuits) and in exchange, ride for free. Spectators who would like to attend but don't wish to strip will pay the small $20 fee and "naked" participants are encouraged to seek support in the form of sponsors. Sponsorship will award passengers for each minute they're out in the cold, and whenever they need to get cozy, participants are welcome to enjoy free hot cocoa.

The third annual "Naked" Polar Bear Cruise will take place on February 26th at Pier 83 and boarding will begin at 10:30 am. This could be super fun to do with a big group...and it's for a great cause too!
