On Tuesday, August 17 was PrettyCity's VIPretty Party at the Christine Chin Spa. The last event, was a success and I'd say the same for this one too. The spa itself was beautiful, with three really beautifully designed floors. They know how to please their partygoers because as soon we walked in, we were gifted with cute little PrettyCity gift bags and platters of food for the waiting ladies.
We were given the choice of a mini-facial or getting our brows done by Christine Chin herself. I saw that both sign-up sheets, which were first come first serve, were pretty full so I signed up for both (I later found out this was a no-no).
For crowd control, we were led downstairs a level where there were cold Izze sparkling juices, platters of food, and some couch space. I sat right next to the food, not surprising, and there was a selection of quesadillas, empanadas, assorted fruits and chocolates, and yummy looking cupcakes. There was no shortage of food and the busy PrettyCity ladies kept coming back with more and more.
When I was called for my facial, which took a little while due to the excessive number of people, I was led upstairs into a spacious room. She examined my skin once I laid down and proceeded to extract a pimple. Once that was taken care of, I was done with my mini-facial. I expected a little bit more, but I guess I should've realized the importance of 'mini.' I also realized that the women who had chosen to get their brows done with Christine Chin herself were super happy, so that may have been the better choice.
Overall the night was simple and fabulous, and the gift bag did not disappoint. It contained SoftLips lip gloss, an OPI Nail Lacquer, a nail file, a full size Avene sunscreen, and best of all, a $50 Christine Chin gift card. As I said before, PrettyCity knows how to throw an event, so keep an eye on any upcoming events here, and also on NYCRD.
