New Yorkers, put away the bummy (but oh-so-comfy) beach gear and fall back into your former chic selves. Fashion Week is around the corner and we have what you need to dive into the festivities and party for free! Wherever you begin your fashion trek, we got you covered. Just remember to nosh after squeezing into that hot LBD—or eye-catching ensemble, boys!
Soho is undeniably NYC’s fashion epicenter, so if you’re starting there, head to Phillip Lim (115 Mercer St.) where there’ll be a block party with Rag and Bone and performance by My Gold Mask. Looking for food, drinks and fun? Head to 7 For All Mankind (347 Bleecker St.).
If you're looking for some free drinks, stop by Korres Detox Bubbles, Cupcakes and More event (110 Wooster Street) and enjoy their detox bar, which will be serving antioxidant-infused bubbly cocktails and all natural cupcakes. Don't leave without your free makeup! Get on their list for entrance: email@example.com.
For those seeking primping and pampering, drift towards the Meatpacking District and head to ADAM (678 Hudson St.). There will be free makeovers and raffles for their Spring/Summer show and $500 GCs!!! Even if you don’t win, sip on cocktails and listen to the sounds provided by DJ Phresh. If you’re on health kick, stop by Adidas (610 Broadway) and be one of the first 40 to sign up for a yoga class taught by Elena Brower (and receive a free yoga mat, too)!
Those looking for celebs, nota bene: Bar Rafaeli will be taking photos with guests at Armani on Fifth Avenue. Mary-Kate and Ashley, the Proenza-Schouler Boys, Alexander Wang and more will be at Barneys (660 Madison). Head to Bergdorf’s (754 Fifth Ave.) and bump into Jason Wu, Mary J. Blige, Nicole Richie, Tom Ford, and Victoria Beckham.
For full on celeb free beauty treatments, stop by the Rebecca Taylor & Bobbie Thomas Update Your Look event (260 Mott Street) where you can score free eyebrow shaping from Frederick Fekkai and makeovers from Bobbie Brown. Bobbie Thomas will be offering style tips, cupcakes from Baked by Melissa will be available as well as complimentary Svedka cocktails!
To my fellow Brooklynites, there’s plenty to do without leaving home: If you want to be fashionable and save the world, head to Textile Arts Center (505 Carroll St.). TAC is hosting an evening filled with “eco-fashion” education, food, drink, and music by DJ Whistlepunk. Lululemon Athletica (472 Bergen St) offers an “alternative happy hour” with free yoga class, Thai massages, and shiatsu. Relax a bit, then party with DJ Derek Beres on the block! Market Publique’s pop-up (177 N. 10th St.) will have sweets, bubbly, music—and if you’re impeccably stylish, a chance to be photographed by street style photographers and receive a GC.
That being said-- put on your most fashionale outfit and go forth September 10th!
